Direction
Preposition of
movements or directions are used to show
movement from one place to another. These prepositions are most often used with
verbs of motion and are placed after the verb.

To is the most common of
the preposition of movements or directions. It is used to indicate movement or
an action or condition suggesting movement in the direction of a place, person,
or thing.
Examples :

Across is a movement from
one side to other side. It is used to show an action from one side to the
opposite side.
