Hi everyone, Are you happy today? I hope you are always happy.  Allright, today we are going to study about PRONOUN. Pronoun adalah sebuah kata ganti. Seperti kita ketahui pronoun merupakan bagian part of speech. Part of speech merupakan bagian-bagian yang sangat mendasar, penyusun kalimat-kalimat dalam Bahasa Inggris. Secara umum pengertian Parts of speech adalah jenis-jenis kata atau kategori kata dalam bahasa Inggris. There are 8 kinds of part of speech, they are …

1.    Noun (kata benda)

2.    Verb (kata kerja)

3.    Adjective (kata sifat)

4.    Adverb (kata keterangan)

5.    Conjunction (kata penghubung)

6.    Interjection (kata pendek)

7.    Pronoun (kata ganti)

8.    Preposition (kata depan)

 

There are several types of pronoun. They are subjective, objective, possessive  adjectives, possessive pronoun and reflexive pronoun 

1.   SUBJECTIVE PRONOUNS

Subjective pronouns are the subject of a sentence.

Example:

She doesn’t understand anything about you, right?

 

2.   OBJECTIVE PRONOUNS

Objective pronouns are the objects of a sentence.

Example:

People can’t blame you for this mistake

 

3.   POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES

Possessive adjectives are words that indicate possessions. Possessive adjectives are used with nouns.

Example:

My stomach is hungry, I need to eat now.

 

4.   POSSESSIVE PRONOUN

Also show possession but possessive pronouns are not followed by nouns.

The car is mine

 

5.   REFLEXIVE PRONOUN

Reflexive pronouns are used to specify that the subject is doing something by or to itself.

 MYSELF

ITSELF

Example:

I taught myself to play the guitar.
